AS PART of the government’s campaign against illegal drugs, the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB)-Davao will launch Friday, November 9, the Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) program in Davao City geared to raise awareness on the effect of illegal substance use and terrorism.

Police Inspector Ervin Keith Urbiztondo, Police Community Relations of RMFB-Davao, said that they hope to fill the Rizal Memorial College (RMC) FilOil Flying V Arena along Lopez Jaena St., Davao City which can accommodate around 4,000 individuals.

“It’s a community approach wherein we will engage with our youth, we will empower them to be our force multipliers to report violations of ordinances especially in drugs and terrorism,” Urbiztondo said.

The activity aims to encourage youth participants to be part of nation building, to reduce proliferation of illegal drugs through the awareness program and prevent terrorism.

They already conducted the same program in Panabo City and Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte where they had symposiums and trainings. They also target to bring it to other provinces.

RMFB-Davao coordinated with the Department of Education for participants as they eye student leaders or the Supreme Student Government, the Youth Council and students from RMC.

Meanwhile, expected guest for tomorrow’s activity is former assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go. (JCR)
