3rd Discover leadership program gets underway

THE Mindanao Peace Games (MPG)’s 3rd Discover Leadership Program opened Monday, June 18, at the Discovery Suites in Ortigas, Pasig City.

Ateneo de Davao University(Addu) athletics director and MPG convener Noli Ayo, in an email sent to SunStar Davao, said 15 coaches and leaders from six regions in Mindanao took part of the annual leadership gathering.

“The Mindanao Peace Games has been in partnership with Discovery Leisure Company in this noble endeavor which aims to elevate sports leadership in Mindanao through conscious emphasis on Character and elevating one’s experience in sports,” he said.

The three-day event, which will feature series of talks and seminars, will be facilitated by Alaska Aces coach Alex Compton, Jed Diamante, co-captain of the De La Salle University men’s football team, Mariana Lopa, managing director of Girls Got Game, Lester Castillo, Milo sports executive and Jad Adevoso, sports organizer for Bravo Basketball, Inc.
