THE Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) Blue Knights salvaged a bronze medal in the Jesuit Athletic Association (JAM) 2018 juniors basketball tournament that closed Monday, October 29, at the Sacred Heart School (SHS) in Cebu City.

The Blue Knights defeated Xavier School Manila, 73-65, in the battle-for-third squeaker.

The Dabawenyos earlier lost to defending champion and host SHS-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-ADC), 53-68, in the semifinals.

Addu head coach Jess Evangelio said the bronze was more than enough as they have gained what they were really after for, experience.

“Now, we are very motivated going home with the bronze. We must carry this motivation during the NBTC (National Basketball Training Camp) season,” he said, adding that the JAM stint taught the team to improve its defense having encountered the giants-laden Ateneo de Manila University (Admu) Eaglets where 7-foot-5 Kai Sotto played.

Addu was composed of Marion Angeles, Christian Bacalso, Joachim Weill, Isaac Go, Andre Nebria, Alfred Nicolas, Javen Magbanua, Matt Oribelo, Alfonso Cabdari, Jc Adona, Migoy Castillo, Joaquim Agamon, Jeffler Trasmil and Jed Delos Santos. (ABM)
