Awid rules Datba weekly

IVAN Awid crowned himself champion of the Datba Weekly Tournament held over the weekend at SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center.

Awid, who has a handicap 18, rolled a total of 606 pins after three games to earn a cash prize of 900 and a slot to the monthly finals tournament.

He bested Uree Uy and Celso Garcia who placed second and third, respectively.

Uy, with 35 handicap, scored 578 to claim P500 while Garcia, 15 handicap, garnered 573 to go home with P500.

Jojo Flores, whose handicap is 27, hit 563 pinfalls to finish fourth followed by Joshua Disuacido (557) fifth and Jim Sia (556) sixth.

A total of 17 pintopplers joined the tournament organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba).
