Last day to qualify for Datba finals

TODAY is the last qualifying tournament for the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba) December finals tournament set Friday, December 28, at the SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center in Davao City.

Saturday winners Jojo Flores (614 pinfalls), AJ Galendez (619) and Rey Paloso (634) lead qualifiers in the monthly finals bowlfest that stakes cash prizes and trophies.

Also vying honors for the December title are top qualifier Art Galendez (688), Cyrstal Chavez (660), John Tamondong (655), Jesrael Rule (649), Chris Ramajo (648), Mark Sia (641), Ulene Rule (640), Ivan Awid (630), Paul Palacio (625), Gab Velasco (616) and Tans Bernas (614).

Chavez currently holds the highest single title with 257 pinfalls in one game.

The reserves are Kert Palces (613) and Joshua Disuacido (606).

Registration for today's games is at 6 p.m. and call on reserves is at 6:46 p.m. followed by the 7 p.m. roll off.

The December champion will be pitted against the other monthly champions when they play for the bowler of the year crown.
