Dabawenya tanker Zoe Marie Hilario ended her final Batang Pinoy stint with an impressive collection of four gold medals and one silver in the just-concluded national championship in Baguio City.

But her medal was credited Quezon City as she is a Grade 10 student of the Unversity of the Philippines Integrated School.

The 16-year-old swept the golds in girls 200-meter individual medley (IM), 400m IM, 200m backstroke and 200m backstroke and 100m backstroke. Placing second in 100m backstroke, she also settled for a silver.

"My Batang Pinoy this year so far isn’t really good. I didn’t get to maintain or break my best times in my events but I’m still thankful for it because I know that I’m going to learn a lot from this experience," she said.

She also competed for Davao City in the Batang Pinoy in past two national editions. She clinched four golds and one silver during her sixth grade.

Hilario, who used to be with the Ateneo de Davao University while she was here, told SunStar Davao, "Sumali nalang po ako kasi last year ko na pwedeng sumali."

After the Batang Pinoy, Hilario said she'll train harder and make sure that she meets her target times and achieve her goals in the new UAAP season.
