Prisaa board meeting, induction set September 14

PRIVATE School Athletic Association (Prisaa) 11 president Ma. Lita Montalban will be inducted Friday, September 14, as 2018-2019 Prisaa national president during a national board meeting set at The Royal Mandaya Hotel.

The induction rites set at 6 p.m. will follow the board meeting scheduled to start at 2 p.m..

Davao City will host next year's National Prisaa Games.

Meanwhile, Emar Human and Environmental College (Ehec) ended its campaign on a high note by bagging a total of 36 gold medals, eight silvers and four bronzes to emerge overall champion in the just-concluded Unit 5-Private School Athletic Association (Prisaa) 2018 Meet.

Montalban is also the president of Emar and chairperson of Unit 5.

Emar's golds were mostly from individual events particularly in athletics and taekwondo, among others.

Emar captured the gold in cheerdance competition before winning the grade school elementary basketball golds few days after.

Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC), however, placed second overall with 19 golds, eight silvers and four bronzes, followed by Abba's Orchard annexed eight golds, six silvers and six bronzes.

Davao Doctor's College (8-4-4) was fourth while Jose Maria College (8-2-5) was fifth and University of Mindanao (UM) Ilang sixth with one gold.
