Radio blocktimer shot dead in Dumaguete

A BLOCKTIMER of dyEM FM 96.7 Bai Radio was shot dead in Dumaguete City Thursday, November 7, 2019.

The victim was identified as Dindo Generoso, 67, married, a resident of Barangay Banilad, Dumaguete City. He succumbed to eight gunshot wounds.

Initial investigation revealed that two men onboard a motorcycle and wearing black jackets and helmets shot Generoso while he was driving his car around 7:25 a.m. on Corner Hibbard Avenue and EJ Blanco Drive in Barangay Piapi.

A concerned citizen called the Dumaguete City Police Station to report about the incident.

Generoso's body was brought to Silliman Medical Center for post mortem examination.

Police are still conducting investigation on the incident, as well as hot pursuit operation against the gunmen.
