22-year-old woman shot dead in Kalibo

MOTORCYCLE-riding gunmen shot dead a 22-year-old woman in Kalibo town Friday evening, August 28.

In a media briefing Monday morning, August 31, Police Chief Major Belshazzar Villanoche identified the victim as Nadine Faith Medina of Barangay Andagao, Kalibo.

"She came from a drug store walking with her mom. They were 'ambushed' by riding-in-tandem while going home," Villanoche said.

The victim's mom was unharmed.

Police learned that the victim wanted to study law.

The police released on Monday, August 31, a digital sketch of the gunman.

"We are investigating two motives of the killing. We will inform the public as long as our investigators had make concrete angle in the said case," Villanoche said. (Jun N. Aguirre/SunStar Philippines)
