24th National Press Congress slated in Boracay Island, Kalibo

THE 24th National Press Congress of the Publishers Association of the Philippines Inc. (Papi) is scheduled to be held in Kalibo and Boracay Island from December 3 to 6, 2019.

Some 300 publishers, editors, broadcasters, commentators, columnists, writers, photojournalists, news reporters, including school campus editors, writers, public information practitioners, communication executives of government agencies, non-government organizations and institutions will attend the nationwide event.

Representatives of some foreign news agencies and press attaches are also expected to attend.

Papi is now celebrating its 45 years of fraternal leadership, service to the nation, and advocacy. The 24th National Press Congress will kick-off the observance of December as the "Month of the Community Press in the Service of the Nation" pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 1187 issued by Malacañang mandating Papi to spearhead the national celebration every year.

During the four-day event, executives will dwell on the role of making in environmental care, tourism, local governance, international relations, national security, and social media and its responsibility.
