SOME 400 kiosks for food and beverages in downtown streets will be made available for rent to vendors starting November 29 in line with the celebration of the Dinagyang Festival on January 24-26, 2020.

The Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc. (IFFI), festival organizer, has limited the number of kiosk spaces so as not to obstruct the parade route of Dagyang sa Calle Real streetdancing on January 25 and Dinagyang 360 tribes dance competition on January 26.

Kiosk-in-charge Phillip Chua said kiosks will be organized and set up in a way not to block the flow of performances from Freedom Grandstand, Iznart-Solis St., Ledesma-Valeria St., and Ma. Clara St. in City Proper, as well as to clear the emergency lanes.

The 2.5x1.5-meter kiosk will be charged P5,000 for the three-day highlights.

Vendors will pay directly to bank account to be opened by the kiosk committee.

Kiosks will be situated along Iznart, Aldeguer, Delgado, Ledesma, Guanco, and Solis streets, while Arsenal area will be allocated for foodie members of "Kaon Ta, Iloilo" Facebook group.

The IFFI will also limit ambulant vendors particularly along Bonifacio Drive, as they will be given alternative areas upon recommendations of Public Safety and Transportation Management Office. (PR)
