THE Iloilo City Government has gotten the strong support of media in the intensified Information Education Communication (IEC) campaign against coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

This came after Mayor Jerry Treñas met with all station managers, requesting the media outlets in helping disseminate information, especially the city's campaign regarding health protocols.

Covid focal person Dr. Roland Jay Fortuna and Dr. Annabelle Tang discussed health-related concerns and address queries from the media.

Treñas appealed for more massive advocacy awareness since the number of Covid-19 cases in the city is increasing.

The campaign includes reminding the citizens of the minimum health standards such as wearing of face masks and face shields, practicing physical distancing in public places, washing hands always, and also sanitizing objects like gadgets and office equipment.

Resource persons such as infectious doctors, members of the Covid Team and Covid Task Force will also have media guestings to sort out and enlighten Covid happenings in the city.

Treñas said he is looking forward to active partnership with the media as they assured cooperation with City Hall. (PR)
