ILOILO City Government Children's Learning Center (ICGCLC) or Talatapan at second floor of City Hall is still conducting Trash to Cash and Honesty Store projects to support educational needs of its pre-school beneficiaries.

The ongoing project features the arts and crafts made by kids and staff out of recyclables being offered for sale.

The funds collected are used to buy children's learning books and equipment.

"Some of the proceeds were already used to buy a refrigerator and a sewing kit," Talatapan supervisor Mary Ann Ramos said.

The learning facility for Pre K-1 and Pre K-2 children of City Government employees have currently registered 31 pre-schoolers who are three to four years of age.

"Despite the pandemic, Talatapan continues to aid the young learners through learning modules. The prepared modules will be answered by the children at the comfort of their own homes with the help of their parents. We will provide them learning modules every month," Talatapan Coordinator Shirley Conte said. (PR)
