THE Iloilo Provincial Capitol will be closed on August 3 and 4 after a worker tested positive for coronavirus, said Governor Arthur Defensor Jr.

He said contact tracing is now underway and all Capitol employees are advised to minimize their movements to slow down the spread of the virus.

He added that all contacts of the patient will be tested accordingly and will be prioritized based on their classification as high, medium and low-risk contacts.

The patient is asymptomatic and is now in a quarantine facility.

Total disinfection of the Capitol building and the Casa Real will be done during the two-day closure.

The list of offices that will be allowed to re-open on August 5 will be announced on Tuesday evening. (SunStar Philippines)
