Iloilo City Hall gives relief to drivers

A SIGH of relief for apprehended drivers during these difficult times as they received reprieve and food aid.

Mayor Jerry Treñas directed the Iloilo City Public Safety and Transportation Management Office to give food packs, waive penalties of owners and release 297 impounded tricycles, motorcycles, trisikads, and e-trikes last May 16.

They were supposed to pay P1,000 fines after violating the enhanced community quarantine earlier.

Netizens thanked the City Government for the good gesture to violators whom some are displaced drivers.

They are now allowed to ferry passengers subjected to physical distancing and reduced capacity and back-riding under rules of general community quarantine. (PR)
