Tribu Paghidaet wins Dinagyang 2020

TRIBU Paghidaet of La Paz National High School (LPNHS) bagged the grand prize in the Dinagyang 2020 tribes dance competition on Sunday, January 26.

The group bested 11 other competing tribes in performances staged in four judging areas around the old Iloilo City district.

Tribu Paghidaet received a trophy and P5 million. It was also named Best Performance, Best Choreography, Best Music, Best in Production Design, Best in Discipline and People's Choice.

Tribu Paghidaet was first runner-up in 2019.

This year, the Tribu Panayanon of Iloilo City National High School won first runner-up.

The second place went to Tribu Ilonganon of Jalandoni Memorial National High School, while Tribu Salognon of Jaro National High School won third place and Tribu Dagatnon of Ramon Avancena National High School got the fourth place.

Special and minor awards were also given to Tribu Ilonganon for Best in Costume Design, and Headdress and Best in Sadsad. (SunStar Philippines)
