ATRAM Trust Corporation deploys Bloomberg's straight thru processing solutions

ATRAM Trust Corporation, a leading trust corporation in the Philippines with over USD2 billion in assets under management (AUM), has adopted Bloomberg's straight through processing (STP) solutions to improve the efficiency of its equity trading business.

ATRAM Trust Corporation is using Bloomberg's STP solutions to communicate instructions electronically between investment managers and broker-dealers. Bloomberg's confirmation-matching technology also allows ATRAM Trust Corporation to spot equity trades that are mismatched post-trade so that they can fix mismatches in the same day. Previously, equity trades were manually matched and reconciled by comparing documents of trade data.

ATRAM Trust Corporation processes about 1500 equity trades on average per month.

"By adopting Bloomberg's STP solutions, our operational efficiency has increased, as we are able to confirm equity trades within the day by automating our post-trade processes. Our operations teams can now focus on trade exception management, reducing operational risk and cost," said Deanno Basas, president of ATRAM Trust Corporation.

"ATRAM Trust Corporation is one of the first trust corporations in the Philippines to invest in technology and adopt our STP solutions, making their post-trade management more efficient and systematic. This puts ATRAM Trust Corporation in good stead to adapt to new regulations to improve transparency and meet transaction reporting requirements," said Maggie Ng, head of ASEAN Sales, Bloomberg.

Bloomberg's STP solutions are a real-time multi-asset-class platform that streamlines post-trade workflows, allowing users to focus solely on trade exception management. Bloomberg's STP solutions reduces operational risk and cost while providing trade life cycle process automation to both buy-side and sell-side market participants. (PR)

WHERE’S THE WATER? Water is sparse at the Jaclupan wellfield in Talisay City in this photo provided by the Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) on Friday, April 26, 2024. Completed in 1998, MCWD’s Jaclupan facility, officially known as the Mananga Phase I Project, catches, impounds and pumps out around 30,000 cubic meters of water per day under normal circumstances. However, on Friday, MCWD spokesperson Minerva Gerodias said the facility’s daily production had plummeted to 8,000 cubic meters per day, or just about a quarter of its normal capacity, as Cebu grapples with the effects of the drought caused by the El Niño phenomenon, which is expected to persist until the end of May. The facility supplies water to consumers in Talisay City and Cebu City. /
