TWO suspected kidnappers were killed in a shootout with police early Wednesday, November 21, in Talisay, Batangas.

The Batangas City Police Office reported that the policemen conducted an entrapment operation during a ransom pay-out for the release of a kidnap victim identified as Riz-John Biscocho.

Biscocho was abducted in Barangay Berinayan, Laurel town on November 9.

While negotiation was ongoing, one of the suspects noticed that they were transacting with a police operative.

The suspect then drew his firearm and fired at Biscocho's wife, prompting the police to return fire.

The suspects were able to flee on board a motorcycle toward Talisay town but they were intercepted by police personnel positioned in Barangay Sampaloc, Talisay. A shootout ensued, resulting in the killing of the two suspects.

Recovered from the suspects were two caliber .45 pistols.
