3 men killed after ignoring checkpoint in Abra

THREE men who refused to stop at a checkpoint in Abra were shot dead by the police after a brief chase Thursday morning, July 11.

Abra Police Provincial Director Alfredo Dangani said the three men were on board a tricycle that drove past the checkpoint set up in Barangay Anggad in Bangued.

Dangani said the three men fired at the police personnel who gave chase, prompting the police to fire back.

The three men have yet to be identified.

Dangani said they will also look into the possibility that the three men were involved in illegal activities.
