PETER Joemel Advincula, the man claiming to be Bikoy, was released anew by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) after he posted bail for a cyber libel case.

PNP spokesperson Brigadier General Bernard Banac said Advincula was released at 2:45 p.m. on July 31 after posting bail of P10,000.

Advincula is facing charges of cyber libel filed against him by Bicol-based businessman Zaldy Co, owner of the posh Misibis Bay Resort.

Co was among the personalities identified by Bikoy, the hooded man in the series of videos “Ang Totoong Narco-list”, as involved in illegal drugs trade along with President Rodrigo Duterte’s son Paolo, son-in-law Manases Carpio, former aide Christopher Lawrence Go and partner Honeylet Avancena.

In the series of videos, Advincula said a drug den situated inside the said resort was being maintained by a syndicate that allegedly included Co.

Advincula’s legal counsel, Lorenzo Gadon, said he was confident that his client will get over the cyber libel charges because the script in the video was merely provided to him. (SunStar Philippines)
