Brothers caught with P6.8-M shabu in tea packs

ANTI-NARCOTICS operatives arrested on Wednesday afternoon, December 11, two brothers who yielded P6.8 million worth of illegal drugs.

A report from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said Hairodin Kasim and his brother Norhan Palagoyan were arrested in a drug bust conducted jointly by PDEA Calabarzon and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) around 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday in Port Area in Manila.

Seized during the operation were a kilogram of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, also known as shabu, worth P6.8 million. These were contained in packs marked as Chinese tea.

The two suspects will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. (SunStar Philippines)
