THE Department of Health reported 343 new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the Philippines, bringing the total to 1,418 as of Sunday, March 29.

So far, it is the highest number of confirmed cases reported in a day.

The health department also reported three new deaths, bringing the total number of Covid-19 fatalities to 71. They were identified as PH718, PH859, and PH900.

Seven more patients have recovered on top of the 35 recoveries reported earlier. The total number of Covid-19 recoveries is now at 42. (NJN/SunStar Philippines)
