A LOW pressure area (LPA) was spotted at the coastal waters of Mauban, Quezon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 10 a.m. advisory Friday, August 5, 2022.

Pagasa added the weather disturbance is less likely to develop into a Tropical Depression within the next 24 hours.

"Moderate to heavy rains are expected over Bicol Region and the provinces of Aurora, Quezon, Marinduque, Romblon, and Mindoro," the state weather bureau said.

Meanwhile, light to moderate with at times heavy rains will prevail over Metro Manila, Visayas, Palawan, and the rest of Central Luzon, and Calabarzon.

The public is advised to take all necessary measures against flash floods and landslide. (CLC)
