Marcos in a Facebook post assured the immediate response and assistance of the government to the affected population.

Initial reports showed various major damage in infrastructure in the affected regions up north.

Occurrence of landslides, which resulted in road closure, particularly in the Cordillera region, has also been reported.

Authorities are still consolidating reports from local officials. (SunStar Philippines)
