AUTHORITIES arrested three drug personalities who yielded P1.3 million worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu during a drug bust in Quezon City on Thursday night.

Acting Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Ronnie Montejo identified the arrested suspects as Kirby Angelo Ruiz, 30; Albert John Pakingan, 19; and Dawn Marie Nonarte, 23. All hailed from the province of Cavite.

Montejo said the three were arrested at around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday at Main Avenue corner EDSA, Barangay Socorro, Quezon City.

Montejo said a police operative who acted as poseur buyer was able to buy P200,000 worth of suspected shabu from Ruiz, who was the main target of the operation.

The operatives seized about 200 grams of shabu with estimated street value of P1.36 million, the buy-bust money and a cellular phone used in the drug deal. (Third Anne Peralta-Malonzo/SunStar Philippines)
