THE e-rallies of Vice President Leni Robredo and her chief rival, Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., are set to air on the same nights once the campaign period officially begins next month.

Based on the results of the electronic raffle conducted by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Friday, January 28, Marcos and Robredo are part of "Set 3" of presidential candidates that will have their e-rallies aired on the same nights.

Apart from Marcos and Robredo, also part of "Set 3" are Senator Ping Lacson and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

Their respective 10-minute e-rallies are set to start airing on February 10, the third day of the campaign period for the May 2022 polls.

Comprising "Set 1" of presidential bets, whose e-rallies will air beginning February 8, 2022, are former National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzales, Senator Manny Pacquiao, and Faisal Mangondato.

"Set 2," on the other hand, will be composed of presidential candidates Jose Montemayor, former presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella, and labor leader Leody de Guzman, with their e-rallies set to air beginning February 9, 2022.

"Set 1" of vice-presidential candidates will have Manny Lopez, Dr. Willie Ong, and Rizalito David airing their e-rallies starting February 8.

Carlos Serapio, presidential daughter Sara Duterte-Carpio, and Representative Lito Atienza, meanwhile, comprise the "Set 2" of vice presidential bets with their e-rallies first airing on February 9.

"Set 3" of the vice-presidential e-rallies will be composed of former congressman Walden Bello, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, and Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III. Their e-rallies will start airing on February 10.

Just like presidential bets, vice presidential candidates will each have 10-minute e-rally time slots as well.

Also raffled Friday, January 28, by the Comelec are the day and time slots of senatorial candidates and party-list organizations.

Each night will see five senatorial bets and five party-lists each being given three-minute e-rally programs.

Earlier, the Comelec launched an online platform that will provide free livestreaming of e-rallies of national candidates for the May 2022 polls.

Beginning February 8, 2022, livestreaming of e-rallies will be conducted every night on the official social media channels of the Comelec.

The public may view the e-rallies by visiting the official Comelec e-Rally Channel via https://www.facebook.com/COMELECeRallyChannel. (HDT/SunStar Philippines)
