SENATOR Grace Poe has tested positive for the coronavirus, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri said on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.

"Senator Grace Poe, ma'am, please get well soon from your Covid-19," Zubiri said during the plenary session.

"We pray in the Senate that you stay safe and that you can hurdle Covid-19. I'm sure you will do well,” he added.

Poe is the fourth senator to have tested positive for the virus within August.

Others were Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, Cynthia Villar and Imee Marcos.

The Senate earlier imposed stricter measures in its building’s premises due to the increasing cases of Covid-19. (SunStar Philippines)
