IN A bid to expand vaccine coverage in the Philippines, the government will raffle off P3 million worth of cash prizes among those who will get vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

There will be 100 winners in the monthly draw beginning October under the "Resbakuna: Bakunado, Panalo” promo of the Department of Health (DOH).

The monthly prize was not specified. The grand prize winner, to be drawn in December, will get P1 million.

Those who are partially vaccinated will get one raffle coupon while those who are fully vaccinated will get three.

Senior citizens who will get the vaccine are entitled to double the number of entries. This means that partially vaccinated seniors will get two raffle entries while fully vaccinated seniors will receive six.

The promo is sponsored by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) in partnership with the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation and the DOH.

Step 1: Text RESBAKUNAREG name/age/address and send to 8933.

Step 2: Text RESBAKUNA 1st letter of vaccine brand/number of doses/local government unit/date of vaccination and send to 8933.

As of October 2, 2021, a total of 21,737,744 individuals have been fully vaccinated in the Philippines while 24,513,343 have received their first dose.
