Sibol's Mobile Legends team wins gold at SEA Games

NATIONAL e-sports team Sibol snagged the gold medal for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) at the 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Hanoi, Vietnam on Friday, May 22, 2022.

The Philippine team beat Indonesia with a score of 3-1.

Sibol has continued to defend its throne versus Indonesia for MLBB as the team also won the event in 2019.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, also referred to as ML or MLBB, is a mobile multiplayer online battle arena game developed and published by Moonton, a subsidiary of ByteDance. It is predominantly played in Southeast Asia.

"After a dominant Sea Games 2022 run, Sibol MLBB 2022 climbs the mountains and stakes their claim on the Mobile Legends supremacy for the Philippines in the whole of Southeast Asia!" said Team Sibol on its Facebook account.

"Thank you for your hard work, preparation and dedication TEAM SIBOL MLBB!" it added.

Team Sibol's MLBB team comprises Jonmar "OhmyV33NUS" Villaluna, Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario, Kyle Dominic "Dominic" Soto, Lee Howard "Owl" Gonzales, Salic "Hadji" Imam, Dexter Louise "Dex Star" C. Alaba, and Aniel "Master The Basics" Jiandani.

Kristoffer Ed "Bon Chan" Ricaplaza served as the team's coach.
