Cops probing DSWD exec's death threatened

Sunnexdesk

THREE police officers investigating the killing of a Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) project development officer have received death threats via text messaging.

Former homicide division chief Inspector Ariel Philip Pontillas told Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro the messages were sent on Wednesday.

Ramon Racjev Escudero II was gunned down by men on motorcycles as he was driving his car on September 11.

Escudero oversaw the schools which were credited by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) to teach vocational skills to 4Ps beneficiaries.

Pontillas said Escudero was authorized to choose a school who wants to join the program.

“There is so much money involved in the program. It can be the motive,” he said.
