THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) resumed Sunday its intensified search and retrieval operation for bodies of victims in twin sea mishaps.

Two bodies have been retrieved from the sunken M/V Catalyn B wreckage Sunday, which sank off Cavite seas last December 24.

Coast Guard commandant Admiral Wilfredo Tamayo said that he expects to finish the search and retrieval operation for the remaining Catalyn B victims within the week.

He also said he has given 10 days for the search, rescue and retrieval operations for victims of M/V Baleno 9, which sank off Batangas last December 26.

Tamayo also ordered coast guards to implement stricter measures on ports, especially that vacationers are returning home from the provinces. (Sunnex)
