ANOTHER employee, who was arrested two weeks ago for allegedly stealing an item at a supermarket, was sued before the court.

Charged with qualified theft is John Rue Kimmante, a bagger at the SM Davao Supermarket and a resident of Davao City. He is currently detained at the Talomo police station.

Prosecutor Faizal Padate found probable cause to charge the accused based on the affidavit complaint filed by SM Supermarket.

Records showed that the accused was arrested while going out of the store. It was stated that he came from the selling area to retrieve the push carts outside but when he was frisked, the security guard recovered one snicker worth P34.50 from his pocket.

Padate said there is no evidence presented showing that the accused was entrusted with the item he took, thus, the charges was filed against him. (ICT)
