11,225 pass nursing board exam

MANILA -- A total of 11,225 out of the 29,188 examinees passed the Nurse Licensure Examination based on the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Friday.

Topping the list of passers was Ma. Margaret Benosa Sanches, a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) who garnered a passing rate of 86 percent. She was followed by another UST graduate, Ariel Angara Bitong Jr., and Tiffany Jeanne Dumanil Severo of the University of Nueva Caceres who both got 85.40 percent.

Below is the complete list of successful examinees:

The Nurse Licensure Examination was given by the Board of Nursing in the cities of Manila, Bacolod, Baguio, Cabanatuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last May 2014.

Pursuant to Section 16, of Republic Act 9173, “all successful candidates in the examination shall be required to take an oath of professional before the Board or any government official authorized to administer oaths prior to entering upon the nursing practice."

The PRC said registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be announced later.

Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2014-2017.
