129 runners join Murcia-Panaad Run

A TOTAL of 129 runners, 103 men and 26 women competed in last Saturday’s Murcia to Panaad Run culminating a series of athletics events marking the 2010 edition of the Panaad Festival sports competitions conducted by the Provincial Sports Development Office in cooperation with the Negros Occidental Track and Field Association (Notafa) headed by Roger Banzuela.

The participating LGUs were: Bacolod, Silay, Manapla. Victorias, Esxalante, Pulupandan, Himamaylan, La Carlota, Binalbagan, Pontevedra, Murcia, Sagay, Bago and Cadiz City.

The top five finishers in the men’s division were: Jeson Agravante of Silay with a time of 39.52:64; Gel Alcuin of Escalante City with a time of 40.42:90; Romulo Balinas of Bacolod City (1.12.24); Ruel Hulleza of Himamaylan City (1.42.68) and Alvin Villanueva of Sily City (2.65.68)

The top five finishers in the women’s division were: Jennylyn Nobleza of Silay City (51.36:89); Strephanie Cadesale of Escalante City (2.52.40); Melanie Patrias of Silay City (56.13.66); Mary Joy Japeras of Bacolod City (56.59.70); and Aiko Mae Yangyang of Escalante City (57.36.20). (PR)
