IN LINE with its 15th anniversary celebration, Wafer Models Philippines is lining up a number of activities in Cebu.

First up is the Wafer Modeling Workshop’s 27th wave, starting on Sept. 8 at the SM City Cebu Boardroom Conference Center and on Sept. 22 at Park Mall Cebu. Enrolment is ongoing for both venues.

With model agent Marlon Garcia Wafer at the helm, the agency has produced top models and beauty titlists since its inception in 1999. Among the well-known names who graced its roster are Sarah Katrina Miñoza (Miss Cebu 2005 and Miss Earth-Fire 2007), Nikki Taylor (Miss Teen Philippines 2004 first runner-up), and Kristine Joan Babor (Miss Earth-Tourism 2009), among many others.

Also, the Wafer Modeling Workshop, which started in 2004 and now on its 27th batch, has produced graduates who eventually won beauty titles or become sought-after models, including Miss Lapu-Lapu 2009 Janinie Dagcutan and top mannequins Mina Enjambre, Victoria Aviso and Katrina Gwen Tan.

Wafer also announced during a press conference that the agency will hold a fashion photography exhibit and competition from Oct. 1 to 9 at Chillage, located on Adnama Bldg. at the North Reclamantion Area. On Oct. 9, the winners will be announced along with the agency’s new faces.

The top model agent, who has been a member for Clothes for Life Foundation Inc. for three years now, also hinted at the agency’s expansion plans, especially with its growing list of illustrious clients.
