CHARGES were filed before the Davao City Prosecution Office (CPO) Wednesday against two men earlier arrested for selling illegal drugs in two separate districts in Davao City.

Facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, are Rafael Malapit Fuentespina, 24, and Jose Jontilla Rodriguez, 55.

Personnel of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) brought the two suspects before the prosecution office Wednesday afternoon for inquest proceedings, following their arrest in the morning.

Toril police first arrested Fuentespina in a drug-bust operation around 12:10 a.m. at Purok 4, Barangay Lubogan, Toril. Recovered from him were two small zip-locked cellophane containing suspected dried marijuana, P200, and a phone.

Rodriguez, meanwhile, was nabbed by members of the Bunawan police in the same operation conducted at Km. 18 Kabayan Relocation, Tibungco around 10:30 a.m. Recovered from him were one sachet of suspected shabu and P500.

Fuentespina is currently detained at the Toril Police Station, while Rodriguez is at the Bunawan Police Station. The seized evidence is already placed under custody of the police station.
