3 Mandaue fire incidents leave 450 families homeless

SOME 450 families welcomed New Year homeless after fire hit three villages in Mandaue City, past midnight Sunday, January 1.

The Mandaue City command center received a fire alarm around 12:27 a.m. at a warehouse along Ouano St. in Barangay Looc.

The second fire alarm was reported around 1:01 a.m. at a residential area in Sitio Sto. Niño, Barangay Guizo. Around 90 houses were affected by the fire.

The third fire incident broke around 1:03 a.m. at Sitio Salvacion, Barangay Maguikay where 120 houses were affected.


The fire victims are currently staying in different evacuation centers. No injuries were reported in the three fire incidents.

Personnel from the Mandaue City Social Welfare Services were deployed to provide aid to the victims. (Sunnex)
