THE Civil Service Commission (CSC) has ordered the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (Pace) of the Province of Negros Occidental to internally settle the disputes that stem from complaints of some employees.

In a letter to former Pace chairman Ruben Diamante, the CSC through Director IV Alan Alegria of the Personnel Relations Office stated that Pace should settle the disputes involving the union members or its officers.

It shall be made in writing and submitted to the union president who shall undertake to settle their differences amicably, it added.

However, if the president fails to settle the differences amicably, he shall pass on the dispute to the committee on grievance which shall undertake and hear the merits of the case.

The letter of CSC to Pace is in response to the complaint submitted by former director Niel Mapa.

Mapa said yesterday that they just want reform within the Capitol employees union.

He also clarified that they have no plans to create a new union and that they just want amendments to the Constitution.

Pace president Dino Gasendo had earlier said that Mapa’s group is planning to form another union.
