THE City Council has approved a resolution urging all airline companies and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (Caap) to adopt the "Smoke-Free Iloilo" campaign.

The campaign aims to inform the public that smoking is prohibited in all public places in Iloilo City.

Councilor Lady Julie Grace Baronda said airline companies and Caap should put signages promoting the campaign at disembarkation areas of all air transport facilities at the Iloilo international airport in Cabatuan, Iloilo.

She said the passage of the resolution will reinforce the campaign and strengthen information dissemination on the Smoke-Free Iloilo drive. (LCP/Sunnex)
