AMA Computer College crushed the University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP), 89-70, Saturday night in the Buhangin Fiesta Cup basketball tournament at the Buhangin gym.

With the win, AMA posted its second straight to take the solo lead in the collegiate division. USEP remained winless after two outings.

Michael Sebandal fired 24 points for AMA Computer and was supported by 6-foot-1 Carlos Paden Jr., who had 17. Martin Encabo led USEP with 18 and Jaime Edurete and Eric Banet added 14 and 10, respectively.

Brokenshire College, after losing to AMA Computer, bounced back with an 83-78 come-from-behind win over John Paul College. It was a hard-earned win by the boys of coach Arnold Rojas as they trailed in the first three quarters.

But Brokenshire refused to give up as it exploded for 30 big points in the final canto with Hallyric Damicog, Lawrence Abacite and Gary Jay Eben combining to give JPC its first loss in two games.

Damicog finished with 19 points while Aben and Albacite had 16 and 14, respectively.
