Aquino bares 13 new appointments (1:10 p.m.)

MANILA -- President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III has appointed 13 new officials in various government agencies.

Aquino placed three undersecretaries in the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) namely Aristotle Batuhan, Dante Velasco, and Glicerio Sicat.

Ildefonso Patdu Jr. meanwhile was named as acting assistant secretary of the DOTC.

He also made three appointments in the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) namely Atty. Juan Sta. Ana as general manager; Raul Santos and Engineer Tomas Carlos as assistant general managers.

Other appointees were Emerson Lorenzo as administrator of Maritime Industry Authority (Marina), Carmelo Arcilla as acting executive director of Civil Aeronautics Board, and Manuel Garay Imperial as acting executive director of Toll Regulatory Board (TRB).

Jose Salazar was named as undersecretary of Department of Justice (DOJ), Atty. Mabel Mamba appointed as member of board of director of Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and Estella Sales as deputy commissioner for legal and inspection group in the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
