MANILA -- President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III has returned the management and administration of the President’s social fund to the Presidential Management Staff (PMS).

In a memorandum order issued Thursday, Aquino give back the mandate in handling social fund to the PMS, which is the “primary government agency responsible of the Office of the President providing staff assistance in the Presidential exercise of overall management and development process”.

During the term of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, the social fund was transferred to the Office of the President (OP).

Whereas of Aquino’s memorandum, it says that under Memorandum Order 184 and 184-A, the PMS was the agency designated to release funds for the projects of the OP. (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
