MANILA -- The scope and limitations of the Truth Commission will be known later today, Friday, as President Benigno Aquino III is set to sign the Executive Order (EO) creating such body.

Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda said the President is set to sign the EO Friday afternoon.

The Truth Commission will be headed by former Chief Justice Hilario Davide Jr. It will investigate the anomalies linked to the previous administration, such as the "Hello Garcia" scandal in 2004, the botched national broadband network deal with China's ZTE Corporation, and the fertilizer fund scam that former President now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was allegedly involved.

Lacierda said the EO on Truth Commission will be followed by an EO on Communications Group. (Sunnex)
