ILOILO CITY - President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will inspect Tuesday the ongoing flyover construction along General Luna and Jalandoni streets here.

City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas said that different jeepney drivers and operators’ associations have expressed elation over the P386.58 million project, which would also include road widening along the Gen. Luna Street.

Treñas said the city and the Ilonggos in particular should be proud to have two flyovers that would lessen the road traffic.

The proposed 282-meter Luna-Jalandoni flyover project is being constructed under the President's Bridge Program, the Mega Bridges for Urban and Rural Development Project and is funded by the French Government. (Lydia C. Pendon)
