'Auring' makes second landfall in Ubay, Bohol

TROPICAL Depression Auring has made its second landfall in Ubay, Bohol, the state weather bureau said Monday morning.

In its 8 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) located "Auring" in the vicinity of Talibon, Bohol.


"Auring" made its first landfall in Siargao Island and Surigao del Norte on Sunday afternoon, January 8.

Pagasa said "Auring" has maximum sustained winds of 45kph and gustiness of up to 75kph.

The state weather bureau raised the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal (TCWS) in these following areas:

TCWS number 1

u2022 Cuyo Island

• Bohol

• Siquijor

• Negros Provinces

• Southern Leyte

• Cebu including Camotes Island

• Guimaras

• Capiz

• Iloilo and southern part of Antique

Pagasa said "Auring" is expected to move west at 9kph and will be 65km south southwest of Iloilo City on Tuesday morning, January 10. (Nicko Tubo/Sunnex)
