Aussie loses cash, valuables in Ozamiz robbery

NEARLY half a million worth of cash and valuables were carted away by two unidentified armed men who broke into a house of an Australian citizen in Ozamis City, Monday evening, January 22.

Once inside, the suspects reportedly waited for the victims to come home and took them under gunpoint after they opened the gate.

House owner Damian Nugara, a 47-year-old Australian migration agent, and his companion Dione Marie Bantilan of Bagakay, Ozamiz City, yielded altogether some cash and expensive belongings such as two cellphones, laptop computer, jewelries all worth around P427,500.

The victims told the police that one of the robbers wore a face mask while the other was wearing a bull cap, has a little mustache and white complexion and both stands about 5'5" in height.

Operatives are still conducting manhunt operation to locate the whereabouts of the perpetrators.
