Azkals to face rival Malaysia in AFC Asian Cup

THE Philippine Azkals is set to face Southeast Asian rival Malaysia in a friendly in preparation for its first match in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup 2019 qualifiers.

The Azkals takes on Malaysia on March 22 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila.

The Philippines last saw action against Malaysia back in 2014 here in Cebu City. The match ended in a scoreless draw.

The Philippines, ranked 122nd in the world, is up against Nepal on March 28. The Azkals is in Group F with Nepal, Tajikistan and Yemen.
