FRITZ Gerald Barros recovered from a first game loss to beat Nonoy Calida for the class A title in the SBC Bowler of the Month Tournament Finals at the Fairlanes Bowling Center Sunday night.

Calida took the runner-up honors instead while Mads Lauro placed third in the meet organized by the Sunday Bowlers Club under its president Emie Orteza.

James Morales overcame Jun Tabat to rule class B. The latter placed second while Danny Bonjoc finished third.

The class C title went to Chad Gutierrez who bested Rey Talip in a single game of their two-game step-the-ladder titular clash. Talip and Albert Benavente wounded up in the second and third place, respectively.

Mae Belarmino, on her part, ruled the ladies division over Helen Pugoy and Matthess Domina.

The class champions received cash prizes and trophies.

Orteza, meanwhile, bared that SBC will hold the Tatlohan Extravaganza on September 5 at Fairlanes.

"The one-day competition will be a three-member team event. The teams will play a three-game series where the top team with the highest total pinfalls will be declared champion," he said. (MLSA)
