Borbon, Cabahug win Honda Circuit Leg 1

MARIO Borbon and Raul “Keken” Cabahug Jr. each bagged two titles in the Honda Motorworld Underbone Circuit Racing Leg 1 held last Sunday at Kartzone in Panagdait, Mabolo this city.

Borbon of X Racing Team topped the 100-115 Novice Open and the 125 Novice Open titles.

Cabahug of Cyrus Racing Team/Honda Motorworld used a brand new Honda Wave Dash to capture the 100-115 Super Stock Beginners and the 125 Super Stock Beginners class titles.

Runner-up

Standing in between was Garry Cañeda also of CRT/Honda Motorworld Team who topped the 4-Automatic Open/All-Honda Beat Class race.

Over 80 riders from more than 10 teams raced in the opening leg of the five-leg series that signaled the start of the motor racing events in Cebu City for 2010.

Following behind Borbon in the 100-115 cc Novice Open class were Cañeda, Lyndon Requilem of Team Mac/Honda Motorworld In., Emok Tarona of Ervyn Racing and Robert Paul Mencias of BMR/Honda Motorworld team.

In the 125 Novice Open, the runner-ups were Cañeda, Christopher Rey Manlise of Bradz Racing Team, Re-quilme and Mencias.

Next leg

The runners-up of Ca-bahug in the 100-115cc Super Stock Beginners Class were Mark Capoy of MWR/Skut Garage, Jeslouie Vega of CRT, Jonard Romer of Bungkay Racing and Stephen Lauron of CRT.

While at the 125 Super Stock Beginners class were Moises Muñoz of CRT, Capoy, Vega and Lauron.

The next leg will be held on March 27-28, still at Kartzone and expected to grace this event is Park Ontilla of Honda Factory Racing Team, who will do a race clinic and demonstrate his racing skills.
