Businesswoman hurt in Margosatubig gun attack

A SEPTUAGENARIAN businesswoman was wounded in a gun attack in the municipality of Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur, the police reported.

The victim is Efralyn Quilojano, 61, of Purok Santan in the village of Poblacion, Margosatubig town, the police said.

The police said the victim was shot and wounded around 6 p.m. Tuesday the town’s public market when she was about to go home from her store.

An unidentified person wearing yellow-green t-shirt and a baseball cap grab her bag containing cash, the police said.

The suspect pulled a handgun and shot the victim three times when she resisted, the police said.

The suspect fled and carted away the victim’s bag containing undetermined amount of cash while the victim was rushed to the hospital, the police said.

Investigation continues in a bid to unmask the suspect, the police added. (Bong Garcia)
